There are 3 ways to set up your bills:
1. Select from a list of suggested bills
2. Create a bill manually
3. Create from a transaction
If you create a bill from the suggested biller list or from a transaction, the bills feature will automatically identify future transactions and mark the bill as paid.
When you set your bill up manually we are unable to match it back to a transaction or biller, therefore the bill will not automatically be displayed as paid.
If you have set up your bill manually you can also manually move the bill to paid.
Before you create your budget we recommend that you add in any quarterly, bi-annual and annual bills or expenses that may not have been picked up in the initial bill set up.
Mobile –
Select from a list of suggested bills
Touch the Bills dashboard at the top of the Manage my Spending dashboard. From here touch Billers from the top right hand corner of the screen.
Select + from the top right hand corner of the screen – this will take you in to a screen where anything that “looks like” a bill has been captured. You can select from here all the bills you want included on your calendar. You will need to do this one at a time, and as you select the bill you will be prompted to select the category (if not already filled in) and the frequency.
Create a bill manually
Alternatively, you can manually create a bill. In Add Bills touch Add Manual Billlocated at the top of the screen. Provide the details for your manual bill (name, amount, category, frequency and next due date) and touch Save (top right hand corner).
Create from a transaction
Touch a transaction to navigate to the Transaction Details screen. Touch Create Bill to activate the New Biller screen where the biller details will be populated (you may have to complete some details like category). Touch Saveonce all the details have been completed.
Updating a Biller
At any time you can update a biller by navigating to Billers in My Bills and touching the biller you wish to update. This will direct you to Biller Detailswhere you can touch Edit in the top right of the screen. You can change any of the biller details and touch Save once you are done.
Desktop –
Select from a list of suggested bills
You set up new bills from My Bills in the Manage my Spending dashboard. Click on View My Bills to see any bills you have already set up. From here click Add Bills.
Add Bills will show transactions that “looks like” a bill. You can select any transaction you want included as bill by clicking the box next to the bill Name. You also need to check the bill details like category and frequency and change any details if needed. If you select Direct Debit for the bill, this helps when you to set up bill alerts. Bill alerts can notify you about whether you have sufficient funds in your bank account.
Create a bill manually
Alternatively, you can manually add a bill by clicking Add Manual Biller located at the top of the Add Billers screen. Provide the details for your manual bill (name, amount, category, frequency and next due date) and click Save.
Create from a transaction
From any transaction you can select Mark as Bill. You will then be asked whether you wish to add the bill transaction to an existing biller or create a new one. To create a new bill from here, select New Bill and you will be taken through to check and finalise the details.
Updating a Bill
At any time you can update a biller by navigating to Billers (click View all billers at the bottom of your My Bills screen). Click on the biller you wish to update and this will direct you to Biller Details where you can click Edit in the bottom left of the screen. The Edit Biller screen will open and you can change any of the biller details and touch Save once you are done.
