How do I manually edit my budget category limits?

Enter your budget from the Manage my Spending dashboard.

Mobile:

In the top right-hand corner of your budget tracking screen, select Edit.

You will now be in the calendar view. Select the current month or the month you wish your changes to begin.

You will now be in the month view and you can select the relevant section – Income, Essentials, Lifestyle or Goals & Savings.

From here select the category that you wish to change, for example, Auto & Transport or Health.

Select the pencil beside the existing category limit amount. Enter your new limit when prompted and select Ok.

Once you have done this you will be prompted to update your budget for Only this Month, This Month Onwards or All Months. After doing this, the new limit will show in your budget category and your overall budget will be adjusted by this amount.

NB: If you are changing a bill amount set up in that category, you will need to change the bill amount through the Bills tool. From the budget, you can only edit the additional amount that doesn’t relate to any bills.

Desktop:

From the right-hand side of the screen under your Monthly Overview, select Edit Budget.

You will now be in the current month’s view and you can select the relevant section – Income, Essentials, Lifestyle or Goals & Savings. Alternatively, you can navigate by using the arrows to the month you wish your changes to begin.

From here click on the dollar amount of the category that you wish to change, for example, Auto & Transport or Health.

Enter your new limit when prompted and hit return. Once you have done this you will be prompted to update your budget for Only this Month, This Month Onwards or All Months.

Once you have done this, the new limit will show in your budget category and your overall budget will be adjusted by this amount.
